Coach's Thoughts:

Happy New Year and as always I hope
everyone had a happy and healthy
holiday season. It  is that time when we
start to look forward to the prospects
of Freedom football in the new year.
Before we move forward I feel it is
necessary to once again thank all the
members of the Freedom Football
family that made 2009 possible. I would
like to personally thank our players,
coaches, support staff, the Freedom
HS administration and faculty, the
band and cheerleaders, Gridiron Club,
spaghetti dinner volunteers, Patriot
club and all of those associated with
the Freedom football family for their
time, energy and commitment to our
program.

Improvement is always the focus of our
off-season and as always we need to
learn from past experiences in order to
move forward. In my opinion, setting
our goals high has been an integral
part of growing our program. Last year
we set the goal of continuing the
process of taking the program to
another level and with the loss of
nineteen starters maybe that goal
seemed unrealistic to some? In looking
back that goal was a reachable one
and the fact that Easton and Parkland
played in the district final should serve
as proof.  The 2009 season reinforced
the idea that football is most certainly a
game of inches and the line between
winning and losing is a very fine one.
This concept needs to motivate us in
our daily routine as a program to go
that extra “inch” in the off-season in
order to gain that advantage for
Fridays and Saturdays in the fall. Our
mission is very clear:; We need to
RELENTLESSLY pursue an LVC and
District XI championship and we need
to do it OUR WAY.

Coach Roeder
The pursuit continues...
